Gently cruising along the breathtakingly beautiful Mediterranean seaboard of southern Turkey aboard our gulet 'Tersane V' is, undoubtedly, one of the most rewarding and relaxing experiences we have the pleasure to offer. Along this most scenic of coastlines there is surely no sight more iconic than one of these distinctive vessels gliding sedately across the placid, turquoise waters or peacefully moored at anchor in a secluded, pine-clad bay.
In partnership with Ramos Kaya, Turkey's most experienced builder of classically-styled gulets and a man widely credited as being the pioneer of high quality 'gulet holidays', we are immensely proud to offer the wonderful Tersane V ('V' for number five ...although we like to believe it is for 'Vintage'!). Named after the family boatyard where Ramos builds each of his majestic ships with great devotion and painstaking attention to detail, we are absolutely delighted that this most recent addition to an already celebrated fleet will be sailing exclusively for Vintage Travel.
On board facilities are excellent. Externally you will find a choice of spacious sunbathing areas including an unusual elevated and semi-secluded sun deck, an open dining area and a large shaded dining area each with cushioned chairs and benches. Stepping inside, the heart of the ship is an impressive salon/diner with walls and floor of immaculately polished hardwood, long refectory style table and ample soft seating on which to relax with a book, perhaps watch a DVD or listen to music. Crowning the on board comfort level are six fully air-conditioned double cabins each with a lovely en suite shower room.

A captain, captain's mate and cook, hand picked by Ramos for their friendliness and professionalism, are responsible for the ship. And you could not be in better hands. Your dedicated crew will ensure that the vessel is always kept spotlessly clean, cabins are tended daily, the smoothest and most scenic course charted and all of your on board needs generally looked after. Only the freshest local produce is used for breakfast, lunch and dinner which are all prepared and served on board either al fresco on deck or in the cool of the salon/diner. Tea, coffee, water and fruit juice are always available and you are very welcome to bring your own wine or spirits aboard if desired.
Our sailing itinerary is designed to showcase some of the most scenic parts of this spectacular coastline ...in the most relaxing manner possible! The pace at all times is leisurely (in the extreme) and there is plenty of opportunity to swim or fish in one of the innumerable idyllic bays, snorkel around a picturesque headland or head ashore on the ship's tender to explore an ancient ruin or sample a secluded waterfront restaurant that may have caught your eye. Indeed, within reason, your captain is always open to your suggestion to drop anchor in whatever picturesque spot may take your fancy.
With such impeccable and friendly service, high quality on board facilities and a thoughtfully balanced sailing itinerary we are confident you will enjoy a unique, unforgettable experience that you will want to repeat for many years to come.

The itinerary below is shown as a guideline to a 'typical' seven day cruise. It is not set in stone as your captain may alter the route from week to week (or even during a week) taking into account weather conditions as well as your own personal preferences and suggestions.
Day 1: Tersane V will be moored in Fethiye and can be boarded from 16:00. Once all guests have arrived you will depart for a secluded bay a short cruise away amongst one of the famous twelve islands in the Gulf of Fethiye. Dinner and overnight.Day 2: After breakfast cruise to the exceedingly picturesque Göcek Islands, pausing regularly (of course) for swimming breaks at the most scenic spots. Göcek itself (5 minutes in the tender) has a glamorous harbor-front and some interesting little shops that are fun to browse. After lunch cruise to the Yassica Islands for dinner and overnight in one of the most peaceful bays on this stunning archipelago.
Day 3: After breakfast cruise towards Ekincik (good for snorkelling and scuba diving) and the famous Iztuzu beach which is renowned as a protected habitat of the loggerhead turtle. After lunch you may wish to explore the glorious Dalyan Delta by riverboat (these can be hired and paid for locally) to visit the ancient site of Kaunos, Dalyan town, the Ilica mud baths and impressive Lake Köycegiz. Dinner and overnight in Semizce Bay.
Day 4: After breakfast cruise past the pretty bays of Kumlubuku & Amos to Kadirga, a lovely place to enjoy a swim off the 1km long shingle beach. After lunch visit Gebe Kilise and its sophisticated neighbour Ciftlik (whose waterfront restaurants are popular with the Marmaris high-society at weekends) before cruising back to Kadirga bay for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: After breakfast visit spectacular Bedri Rahmi bay, named after one of Turkey's greatest writers and painters (you can still see a fish he painted on one of the large rocks on the shoreline during his visit in 1973). Lunch will be served in nearby Sarsala where the pristine, crystal clear waters with their abundance of sea life have been likened to 'looking into an aquarium'. In the early evening we will meander gently along the coastline to idyllic Agalimani for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: After breakfast the day will be spent lazily cruising around Cape Kurtoglu home to some of the finest bays in Europe and a scenic feast for the eyes! Your captain can be relied upon to seek out and drop anchor at the most beautiful spots for you to swim, fish, snorkel or sunbathe before lunch and dinner are served. A likely anchorage for tonight will be at the bay of Kizilda.
Day 7: After breakfast your captain will be pleased to call in at Fethiye should you wish to explore the town and its interesting surroundings (various local agencies offer tours to sites such as the magnificent Saklikent canyon, the ancient ruins of Tlos or the world famous beach of Öludeniz - these can all be booked and paid for locally). Those preferring to stay onboard will enjoy a cruise along the coastline to the south of Fethiye where yet more dramatic, pine-clad cliffsides, tranquil bays and awesome scenery await. Dinner and overnight will be in a gorgeous bay at Solvaliye Island.
Day 8: After breakfast off the sleepy shores of Solvaliye Island the Tersane V will cruise sedately into Fethiye Marina for disembarkation at 10am.
Why not spend a few days either side of your cruise at the gorgeous Kashmir Boutique Hotel? There is no minimum stay required and all Vintage Travel guests have breakfast included. Alternatively choose one of our handpicked villas with pools, many of which are wonderfully located close to beautiful beaches and provide a great base from which to explore the treasures of Turkish culture and tradition.
