With all aspects of your holiday, the watchword is flexibility. This is true of your travel arrangements and although we should stress that we are not offering pre-organised packages from specific departure points, we are happy to organise your travel to your property.
Alternatively you may wish to book your own.
We will be pleased to research availability and prices and book flights, ferries and car hire on your behalf. We can quote competitive fares from UK departure points.
Nowadays the pricing of flights and to some extent car hire is very flexible and can go either up or down depending on when you book, when you are travelling and the length of your holiday. For this reason, the prices on travel information web pages are given as a guide price. Of course, any price that you are quoted when you book travel and/or car hire will not change.

Let us book your Flights
Nowadays, the choice of flights from UK airports to mainland Europe, the Balearic islands, Greek Islands and Turkey is considerable. We do not tie you in to a package holiday with pre-arranged travel; you are free to choose flights from your closest airport using any charter, scheduled or low cost airline.
We always recommend booking your flights (and hire car) as soon as you have decided on your holiday accommodation and Vintage Travel have confirmed your availability. You will find that fares are usually lower and choice of flight times is wider.
The tables below are a guide to airline routes for the destinations on this website. Please note this information is correct at time of publication but airline routes can be subject to alteration. SPAIN: Catalunya
Girona Airport is closest to the majority of our Catalunya houses, being under an hour's drive from the Costa Brava. Alternatively, Barcelona Airport is less than 2 hours' driving time from our properties.
SPAIN: Andalucia
Charter and 'no frills' flights operate from most regional airports to Malaga, which is 1.5 hours drive from Ronda, 2 hours from the Alpujarras and around 2.5 hours from the Costa de la Luz. Also suitable for our Andalucia houses are the airports of Sevilla, Granada, Gibraltar and Jerez.
Galicia (Northwest Spain) and Northern Portugal
Many of our houses in these areas are equally accessible from Porto or from the airports of A Coruna, Vigo and Santiago de Compostela, widening the choice of flight possibilities.
PORTUGAL: Algarve
The Algarve is well served by a wide range of 'no frills', charter and
scheduled airlines flying into Faro airport. From here all our properties can be reached within an hour's drive.
SPANISH BALEARIC ISLANDS: Mallorca and Menorca
The island of Mallorca has always been one of our most popular holiday destinations, so it is no surprise that there is a good selection of flights to Palma with departures from most UK regional airports. Menorca (Mahon) does not have as wide a range but a good choice exists between charter and scheduled operators.
France, Italty, Croatia & Gozo
FRANCE: South West France
South West France is well served by scheduled and 'no frills' flights, with Bergerac, Bordeaux and Toulouse airports being within an hour or so of most of our properties. Limoges can be considered for visitors to the Dordogne and Lot. The airports at Rodez, Biarritz and Pau add to the choice, the latter two being most suitable for houses in Le Bearn.
FRANCE: Provence
The region is served by both scheduled and 'no frills' airlines from a variety of UK airports. Nimes, Marseille and Avignon are closest to the majority of our properties in the Vaucluse. Lyon and Nice airports are also well served from the UK and are around 3 hours drive from our houses.
ITALY: Tuscany, Umbria, Le Marche and Lazio
The principal airport in Tuscany is Pisa, served by scheduled and 'no frills' airlines from many UK airports. The smaller airport in Florence is served from Gatwick. Bologna airport is also an option for the northern part of Tuscany.
For our Umbria properties, the airport at Perugia is served by Ryanair and the Rome airports of Fiumicino and Ciampino are also worth considering. Ancona airport is closest for our Le Marche properties, with Forli, Pescara and Rome also in reasonable driving distance. For the houses in Lazio, the two Rome airports are the closest.
CROATIA: Istria
Ryanair operate regular flights from Stansted to Pula and there is a Saturday charter flight from Manchester. Alternatively, fly to Trieste in Italy or to Ljubljana (approximately 100km from Istria), driving through Slovenia into Croatia.
GOZO
Access to the island of Gozo is via Malta, with flights from a number of UK airports by both scheduled and 'no frill' carriers. At the airport pick up your hire car and make your way to the port of Cirkewwa (about 35 minutes by road) and take the car ferry crossing, which takes about 25 minutes, across to Gozo.
GREECE: Corfu
Corfu is well served by a variety of flights from many of the UK's regional airports. Our changeover day for Corfu is a Monday and most of our properties can be reached within an hour's drive of the airport.
GREECE: Kefalonia
We have selected Sunday as our changeover day for Kefalonia as it is the day best served by charter flights from several UK regional airports. Our properties in both the north and the south of the island can be reached in around an hour's drive from the airport.
GREECE: Crete
There are two airports on Crete, Heraklion and Chania, both are well served by a variety of flights from many of the UK's regional airports. Our changeover day for Crete is a Tuesday and most of our properties can be reached within an hour's drive of Chania and 75 minutes of Heraklion.
GREECE: Peloponnese
The gateway to the Peloponnese is Kalamata Airport, approximately 45 minutes' drive from our houses. Another alternative is to fly to Athens, around 4 hours away, and perhaps add on a few days' stay in the Greek capital city. Changeover day for our Peloponnese houses is Sunday.
GREECE: Skopelos
As Skopelos is such an unspoilt island it does not have its own airport. Flights arrive into the neighbouring island of Skiathos and there are regular ferries to take you across to the port in Skopelos Town. From the port, our properties can be reached within half an hour.
Our changeover day for our Skopelos houses is Friday. Transfers to Skiathos can be arranged at a price of £65 per person (return) which includes a private transfer from the airport to seaport (10 minutes) and the ferry crossing (90 minutes).
GREECE: Rhodes
There is a good choice of flights to Rhodes from many of the UK's regional airports. Our changeover day for Rhodes is a Wednesday and most houses can be reached within an hour from the airport.
TURKEY: Dalaman
A good choice of direct charter flights into Dalaman airport from many regional UK airports makes the Turquoise Coast of Turkey very accessible. Our changeover day for Turkey is a Monday. Driving time from Dalaman airport to Turunc, Kalkan and Kas is just over 1.5 hours and to Dalyan, Akyaka and Atakoy it is 2 hours.
Amendments to travel arrangements
Please note that you are bound by the operator's own booking conditions and fees covering cancellation and amendments on all travel arrangements (car hire and flights).
Please, therefore, make sure that all details concerning passenger names are correct at the time of booking. Please also ask for a copy of the carrier's booking conditions as cancellations or changes (including name or initial change) will incur a charge.
If you decide to make your own arrangements it is essential that we know your travel details as soon as possible, and at least one month prior to travel. In many cases the property owner or local representative will meet and direct you to the property so it is important that this information is available for them. We may not be able to release house directions or confirm key collection arrangements until we know these details.
Airport parking and hotels

Once your flight is booked you will want to plan your journey from home to the airport and arrange car parking for the duration of your holiday. View Parking at UK Airports
At many UK airports you can pre-book Valet Parking or Meet and Greet service, either driving straight to the airport terminal where you hand the car over to a representative, or to the secure parking area from where you will be taken in a shuttle vehicle to your departure terminal. If your flight departure is an early one, why not stay the night before at an airport hotel?
Hotels with parking are often cheaper than parking alone and prices usually include transfers to and from the airport terminal. Many hotels offer free child places, special meal offers and use of leisure facilities, so your holiday gets off to a stress-free start.

You may find that the Airport Car Hire service suits your needs: pick up a hire car, up to 24 hours before your flight, drive to the airport and either walk or be transferred to the terminal. On return you have up to 24 hours to return the car, and you can even fly out of one airport and into another at no extra cost. Another option is to book into an Airport Lounge, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the airport terminal and relax for up to 3 hours before your flight.

To assist in planning your route and exploring your holiday area, we are able to supply an extensive range of maps and area guides. You will be sent details of these with your invoice, and we will be pleased to assist you in ordering them.
Financial Security
When you purchase your flights through Vintage Travel, you are assured of complete financial security for all elements of your holiday. Your flight-inclusive holiday will be protected under our Air Tour Operators Licence (ATOL 2787). A sizeable bond has been pledged to safeguard our clients.
Those clients purchasing flights elsewhere will be covered under our ABTA bond, which will only cover the elements that are booked through ourselves.
