Here’s our third suggestion of things to do on the Algarve and it’s something in your lifetime that you simply have to see!

Dolphin & Whale Watching – If you’ve yet to experience the delight of seeing dolphins and whales in their natural environment we certainly recommend you add it to your list of ‘important things to do’ whilst on the Algarve. There’s a number of boats that take you dolphin and whale watching, many of which make for an exciting experience in themselves.

We suggest booking with Algarve Dolphins, because they are the only company working in Algarve waters supporting the research and protection of dolphins and other marine life. Every trip is also accompanied by highly qualified marine biologists who study the dolphins in their natural habitat – they’ll answer any questions you have around these amazing creatures.

Typical costs for a 90 min. breathtaking ocean trip costs around Adult 35,- euro and Kids (max 10 years) 25,- euro.

Botas depart from the Marina de Lagos.

Roma Golf Park – Something for all the family, this is an 18 hole mini golf course with a difference… it has a very Roman theme featuring some of the best well known Roman sights, some of the holes are in fact inside Roman monument replicas!

Every hole teaches you something different about the mighty Roman Empire and you actually come away a little more knowledgeable!

It’s open daily February to end of October (10.00 to between 18.00 and 24.00 depending on time of year). Prices per round: 11,00€ for adults, 6,50€ for 5 to 10 years and1,00€  for children up to 4 (accompanied by an adult).

How to get there:

Take the Quarteira Road towards Vilamoura and keep going straight until arriving at Av. João Meireles. Keep going straight and after passing the GALP petrol station on your right, merge left and then turn left and then right. Enter the Rua das Amoreiras and the Roma Golf Park is immediately after the GNR police station on your left.
