Things to do in Pollenca with children
Nestled between two hills that are each topped with a sacred site, the town of Pollenca, on the eastern edge of the Serra de Tramuntana, has been described as the “perfect Mallorcan town.” You can soak up the culture in a relaxing atmosphere by wining, dining and shopping in great bars, restaurants and boutiques. Although this ensures there is plenty to do for adults in Pollenca, does the town also cater for children?
Take a look at several great things to do with children in the fabulous Mallorcan town of Pollenca.
Boat trips
Boat trips are great fun for all the family and from Pollenca, trips by boat are plentiful. Daily trips leave Pollenca’s marina and take guests on memorable explorations of this beautiful stretch of coastline and the many bays of Puerto Pollenca.
Pollenca Monographic Museum
There is nothing quite like ancient jewellery, sculptures, ceramics and other artefacts to enthral and fascinate children. An educational and memorable day out awaits all the family at the Pollenca Monographic Museum, one of the town’s most popular cultural sites. The museum is housed in a 14th century hospital building in the St. Domingo’s Convent, so even its location is worthy of a visit!
Spend the day on Pollenca Beach
Beaches and children are a natural match on holiday and Pollenca is not short of quality, family-friendly beaches. Pollenca Beach is a long stretch of fine white sand, lapped by clear and inviting water. This popular beach is situated on the south of the Marina on Puerto Pollenca.
When they’ve tired of buckets, spades and ice-cream, this well-facilitated beach offers a number of great water sports for all the family, such as hiring a pedal boat with younger children to jet skiing and kite surfing for older and ‘big kids’.
It’s safe to say that there is plenty of fun awaiting all ages on an island in which The Telegraph described as “A holiday to suit us all.”
