Kassiopi with the kids? How to entertain all the family in Kassiopi, Corfu
On the north-eastern coast of Corfu lies the pretty village of Kassiopi. With a picturesque horseshoe-shaped harbour, an ancient church, some lively nightlife, and several great beaches to choose from, Kassiopi has long been a firm favourite for a diverse range of holidaymakers. But is this popular Corfu town appropriate for children?
Exploring the castle
Venturing to the top of a hill to discover Kassiopis’ 13th century fortress, is a popular pastime for those visiting the island’s largest village in its north-eastern corner. With the castle’s main gate and other ramparts of the original structure still intact, this ancient site provides rewarding snippets of what life was like on the island in bygone eras.
Being perched at the top of the town, Kassiopi’s castle also boasts incredible views looking out across the sea and towards Albania, a vista that can be admired by both youngsters and adults.
Family-friendly beaches
If there is one thing kids want to do when they’re on holiday its to go to the beach! The beaches at Kassiopi are suitable for children, particularly the main town beach which has some good water sport facilities and a small public playground close by.
Batara Beach is another good choice if you are on holiday with children, as not only does this beach have fairly easy access for everyone but also the seabed comprises of gradual shelving which makes the water shallow and safe.

Described as being one of the best waterparks in Greece, Aqualand is within easy reach of Kassiopi, and a day of fun awaits all the family.
