El Hoyillo: A beautiful contemporary in the heart of the Andalusian hills
Welcome to El Hoyilla, a brand-new villa that we are thrilled to include in our Andalusian programme. This smart country home can be found just outside the beautiful whitewashed pueblo of El Gastor, and a mere 2km from the village’s atmospheric central square.
El Hoyilla comprises of three bedrooms and three bathrooms, accommodating up to six guests in total. The vista that surrounds this contemporary home is simply stunning, with slopes scattered in olive trees tumbling steeply towards the villa, backed by the jagged mountain peaks of El Tajo de Algarin, framed by the cobalt, cloudless sky synonymous with this sun-soaked part of Spain.
Despite being a newly-built villa, El Hoyillo has been constructed in a style that’s sympathetic to the architecture of Andalucía. Rustic, chunky wooden beams hold up the high-pitched ceilings and an exposed stone façade blends seamlessly with the natural splendour that surrounds the country home in each direction.
While El Hoyillo brags an impressive array of rustic features, contemporariness is at the heart of this stylish accommodation. The villa’s generously-sized kitchen comprises of a sleek array of modern units and appliances, and tasteful, modern furniture in every room enhances the contemporary feel of this elegant villa.
Externally, open and covered terraces provide ample choice for guests on where to wine, dine, read a book, or simply lounge about and enjoy the incredible and unique landscape of inland Southern Spain.
El Hoyillo’s private swimming pool will undoubtedly be a focal point of the al fresco fun when staying, the perfect place for cooling down from the soaring temperatures this part of Spain is home to.
With the iconic ‘pueblo blanco’ of El Gastor on the villa’s doorstep, for those wishing to enjoy traditional Spanish culture, cuisine and lifestyle, this delightfully quaint village and its pretty square, cluster of shops and two restaurants, provides the chance to experience life in Spain that has seemingly remained unchanged for centuries.
