Brsecine’s Dia: A spectacular south Croatian gem!
A truly spectacular villa has been added to our new Dubrovnik programme – the stunning Dia. This six bedroom, seven bathroom villa can sleep up to 11 guests in absolute comfort and luxury.
Dia is located in Brsecine, a small settlement in south Croatia situated approximately 20 kilometres to the north-west of Dubrovnik between Trsteno and Slano. This tiny hamlet has just 80 inhabitants, most of whom are involved in fishing and agriculture.
Its elevated position ensures Dia boasts breath-taking panoramic views which spread across the Adriatic and the facing Elaphite Islands, protected from the wind by dramatic limestone cliffs.
Dia consists of two separate buildings, one of which is built slightly higher than the other. Both buildings are beautifully appointed with traditional materials and features, including parquet flooring, chunky wooden beams, a pastel palette and cool stone, giving the property an authentic Mediterranean feel.
Lured by the turquoise waves of the Adriatic set against an emerald backdrop of tree-clad hills, visitors are naturally drawn into Dia’s exterior. A tiered garden with clusters of fertile lawn invite guests to spread out their towel and take in the majestic views. When the south Croatian sun becomes too intense, guests can seek shade in the covered terraces or take a dip in the property’s private pool.
With views this inspiring, wining and dining al fresco at Dia is highly recommended, a holiday pleasure that can be accomplished with ease on the shaded terrace with a built-in barbecue.
For any guests feeling active the property has a multi-gym with an exercise bike. A comprehensive exercise regime can be concluded in style by relaxing in Dia’s sauna.
As enjoyable and varied Dia is, the world around it offers a wealth of exploration and adventure.
Walk down quaint steps for approximately 800 metres and you will arrive at Brsecine’s shingle beach, a pretty little cove where tranquillity and relaxation is there for the taking.
A diverse range of quality eateries are a short distance from the villa. Less than 3 kilometres the nearby Trsteno has a restaurant and slightly further afield in Orasac you’ll be able to pick up all the necessary ingredients for conjuring up a memorable barbecue on Dia’s stunning terrace.
