Ca’n Bobis – A luxury villa in Pollenca
Pollenca is without doubt one of the most beautiful places on the island of Mallorca. It was here that the artists flocked to at the beginning of the last century.
Situated in the north-eastern corner of the island where the starkness of the limestone contrasts sharply with the greenery of the pine trees and steep craggy mountains plummet spectacularly down to lonely beaches and the gorgeous blue Mediterranean. You can enjoy this lovely part of Mallorca even more if you were to stay at the wonderful idyllic luxury villa in Pollenca – Ca’n Bobis, which Vintage Travel are pleased to have recently added to its Mallorca portfolio.
Ca’n Bobis is a small cottage which sleeps two people. This immaculately kept house has a compact pool set in a garden with a fertile lawn which is surrounded by various trees that give both colour and privacy to bathers.
So that you can make the most of the garden both inside and outside, Ca’n Bobis has an open plan lounge leading to a modern kitchen that overlooks the lawn and pool. There is a beamed and vaulted ceiling which gives a sense of space in this delightful and tastefully decorated cottage.
The double bedroom has ample room and is equipped with all- important air-conditioning. Double French doors lead from the bedroom to the outside terrace. The house is perfect for a couple, young or old, as it provides an idyllic romantic retreat.
Whilst eating on the barbecue area overlooking Mallorcan countryside at its most compelling is utterly inviting, so is dining at one of the many restaurants and bars of Pollenca, which is only five kilometres away.
Pollenca is a typical Mallorcan town with a maze of narrow streets, which are well worth investigating for an hour or two. There are restaurants here to suit all budgets. There is a quite large community of foreigners in Pollenca which helps to give the place a slightly cosmopolitan feel. It is safe to surmise that much of the expatriate community came to live here because it is such a beautiful place to live.
Although the fact that there is a fairly strong European enclave living in Pollenca should not put you off, as there is plenty in this old Spanish town that is traditional, beautiful and untouched.
Just like so many other towns in Spain, Pollenca has its fair share of fiestas. There is one in January another in February and perhaps the biggest and best is in July when the patron saint is honoured with much music and laughter.
This is a great place for a holiday and the luxury villa in Pollenca Ca’n Bobis with all the mod-cons, such as satellite TV and Wi-Fi, will ensure a holiday here on Mallorca, is as near perfect as it gets.
