Casale Le Spighe: An Umbrian jewel amongst the woodland

Casale Le Spighe boasts five bedrooms and four bathrooms and can accommodated between nine and 11 guests.
Renovated in a traditional Umbrian style Casale Le Spighe is home to a myriad of delightful rustic treasures including chunky rustic beams, terracotta tiles and pretty led-panelled windows. The farmhouse’s furnishings are equally as characterful and ‘homely’, with wrought-iron beds, elegant wooden furniture and pretty floral bedding, augmenting the bucolic, farmhouse presence on the property.
In typical farmhouse style Casale Le Spighe’s kitchen is designed to bring out the best in cooks of all abilities!
For an entertaining evening indoors, a grand billiard table can be enjoyed by guests in the living room.
Nestled in the southern tip of Umbria, Casale Le Spighe is all but hidden out of view, encased by a natural barrier of woodland.
Outside the farmhouse an inviting pool lies within a tranquil haven of trees, lawn and bushes. This fantastic private pool has a whirlpool in one corner, where hours of fun, laughter, relaxing and entertainment can be had by guests of all ages.
The outdoor terraces at Casale Le Spighe are both covered and open, where, regardless of whether you are enjoying a great barbecue or are sunbathing on the open terrace, you can immerse yourself in the beauty of this southern tip of Umbria.
If you crave some traditional Umbrian culture and history then a drive to the historic town of Orvieto is definitely recommended. Just half an hour’s drive from Casale Le Spighe will bring you to Umbria’s ‘grand hill town’ Orvieto. This majestic town, which sits on to of a huge chunk of volcanic rock, is home to numerable great sites and monuments, including the Duomo. With the great Brizio Chapel, the Duomo is dubbed as being one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the whole of Italy.
