EasyJet announces new routes to Nice
The prospect of visiting the charming city of Nice and the Cote d’Azur has been made easier and more affordable thanks to EasyJet. The well-known orange and white airline has announced the arrival of a third aircraft at Nice Airport.
EasyJet has also announced it will fly to Nice from four new destinations.
The budget airline is the largest airline in operation at Nice Cote d’Azur airport.
In an expansion from 24 routes to Nice to 28, the budget airline will now fly to France’s fifth most populous city from Lisbon, Hamburg, Marrakech and Palermo.
A virtual bike race celebration
To celebrate its expansion at Nice Cote d’Azur Airport, the airline held a bike race in the Bag Drop area of the airport. Passengers were invited to jump on an exercise bike and cycle across one of EasyJet’s routes on a virtual map. The cyclists who reached all of the destinations from Nice the quickest were entered into a prize draw. The winner was given a free flight to a destination of their choice from Nice Airport.
Nice Cote d’Azur Airport is located approximately seven kilometres to the west of the city of Nice. It is the principle airport for passengers travelling to the Cote d’Azur and the Principality of Monaco. Due to its close proximity to sovereign city state, helicopter services are available, taking passengers from Nice Cote d’Azur Airport to Monaco.
Since EasyJet began operating from Nice in 1996 the airline has flown more than 30.2 million passengers to and from Nice.
Thanks to the expansion of its Nice-bound destinations more travellers will be able to fly to and from Nice efficiently and cost-effectively.
