Elle and Armani in Lanzarote for frolics on the sand!

If you want proof that Lanzarote is a beautiful, romantic, visually stunning and stylish island then you only have to look at the videos two of the world’s leading and most high-acclaimed fashion designers have filmed on the island of Lanzarote.

Both Armani and Elle, two of the world’s leading and most famous fashion brands have recently finished filming two slightly ‘risqué’ videos using the landscape of Lanzarote as a very sexy backdrop.

Flying in the gorgeous model Caspar Oeschler and director Luca Finotti into Lanzarote, Giorgio Armani shot a film called ‘Volcano’, as part of the Armani Spring/Summer 2012 collection advertising campaign.

Dressed fully in Armani gear, Caspar Oeschler emerges from the sea at El Golfo, a quintessentially Canarian village, intimately tucked away from the mainstream flow of tourists on the eastern side of Lanzarote. The stunning model slowly and playfully undresses throughout the duration of the film to be eventually transformed into rock.

Equally as keen to exploit the stunning beauty and unique aesthetical merits of Lanzarote was the iconic fashion brand Elle, which also flew in a top model for a photographic shoot.

In an advert titled ‘Happy Body!’ for the Spanish version of Elle magazine, supermodel Bar Refaeli strutted his stuff across the beaches of Caleton Blanco and Papagayo.

Lanzarote may be famed for its wonderful beaches and none more so than the beach of Caleton Blanco surrounded by wild, rugged and imposing volcanic landscapes. Caleton Blanco is the last in a series of coves which run in the direction of the town of Orzola.

Located next to the protected natural park in Los Ajaches, the beach of Papagayo is equally as stunning and is said that it is the most beautiful beach on Lanzarote.

No doubt it was the pure fine white sand, jaw-dropping views and gorgeous turquoise water that envelope this paradisiac coves that inspired Elle to make take its ‘Happy Body’ footage here.
