The larger town of Cortona is 11km from the villa. This characterful hilltop town boasts a number of ‘must see’ sights, including the Museo Diocesano, which displays wonderful artwork. The Osteria del Teatro is a highly recommended restaurant in this interesting town, where you will eat amongst black and white photos of the many actors who have dined here after performing in the nearby theatre.

Or for a truly tranquil and mesmerising day out, head to the wonderful shores of Lake Trasimeno, which is just 25km from Casa Leopolda.
