Stately and elegant, the property has lots to offer, including a huge 15-metre, gated swimming pool. All five of Quinta do Ouro’s bedrooms have en-suite facilities. Three of the bedrooms are positioned in the main part of the house and two are in an attached stone annexe. These annexe bedrooms benefit from wall-to-wall windows, allowing swathes of light to flood in. The annexe overlooks the property’s impressive private swimming pool.

Quinta do Ouro has been owned by the same family of goldsmiths for generations and is known as being one of the most noble properties in the region.

Its interior exudes tastefulness and splendour, boasting many intricate and interesting features. One such feature is a smart sitting room, with a carved wooden floor and ceiling, as well as stylish tall windows that look out towards the village.

The property is surrounded by impressive grounds. Its private courtyard, fringed by pretty stone walls with vines and mature foliage is a truly pleasant spot, where an impressive stone staircase sweeps around to a pillared veranda. The veranda provides access to the upper floor of the property.

Quinta do Ouro’s extensive grounds comprise of terraced lawns, flanked by colourful flowerbeds and flourishing foliage. Covered and open terraces provide plenty of space for shaded dining and catching some rays of sunshine.

Despite the grandeur of Quinta do Ouro, the countryside that lies in its vicinity is simply just waiting to be discovered and explored. The picturesque alpine National Park of Peneda-Gerês is just a 30-minute drive from Quinta do Ouro. This vast area of extreme natural beauty extends from the plateau of Castro Laboreiro to the plateau of Mourela.
