Luxury four bedroom villa in Selva – Experience Mallorca at its most majestic

If it was possible to place a wager on the most often used exclamation used by guests as they lay their eyes upon the magnificent Selvantonia for the first time, you should put your money on the word “Wow!” This luxury four bedroom villa in Selva possesses the “wow” factor in abundance.

four bedroom villa in Selva

The stunning four bedroom villa is located in Selva, a picturesque little town that bears formidable reference to what small towns used to look and feel like on Mallorca before the advent of mass tourism. This attractive town in the North West region of Mallorca is home to several old buildings with obvious historical interest. An old church which dates back to the 13th century, is one of Selva’s historical highlights.

If eating out is on your holiday agenda, you’ll be pleased to know Selva has three or four restaurants which have all been well reviewed by visitors – Miceli, Es Parc, Font Torreta and Es Portal de Tramuntana are, by all accounts, four of the best places to eat traditional local food in Selva.

Selvantonia has the appearance of two separate dwellings but is in fact two identical structures split by a grand entrance hall that is complete with a glamorous marble curved stairway. The house’s exterior walls are stone-clad, generating a “rustic farmhouse” feel. Though it has to be said, Selvantonia is more sophisticated than that of a humble farmhouse. The house has four bedrooms and sleeps eight people, although it actually looks as though it should sleep more like a dozen guests! The bedrooms each have a theme and are named after a fruit or vegetable. Take your pick between artichoke, pomegranate, cherry and pear, each of which has a subtle and appropriate colour scheme. Perhaps the reason why the house looks much larger than a four bedroom villa is because each bedroom are en-suite and have a separate dressing room.

The real wooden beamed ceilings are chunky and warm with that comforting feeling one gets from huge beams of beautifully grained wood. The kitchen is state-of-the-art and modern, yet the curved tiles between the wooden beams are a stylish throw back to a bygone age.

Many a door leads to outside terraces and balconies. The views of the countryside and the distant  Tramuntana Mountains are as spectacular as the house itself. It is easy to see why Selvantonia stands out despite the colour scheme blending in timelessly and seamlessly with the old village and the natural surroundings.

Selvantonia’s garden is huge. Beyond the fencing there is shade after shade of relaxing green foliage. Huge pillars reproduced and influenced from Ancient Greece almost make the visitor believe that this house is built upon the site of some Ancient Acropolis. Of course being located in the sun-drenched island of Mallorca  there is a significant emphasis on outside dining. With several dining terraces, a barbecue, private parking, a swimming pool and a well-stocked private vegetable plot, there is as much going on outside Selvantonia as there is inside.
