In fact, The Telegraph put the popular Balearic island at the top of its list for beguiling holiday resorts in the Mediterranean, and rightly so!
The feature noted Mallorca’s incredible coastline and interior, with its mighty Serra de Tramuntana mountain range – a world heritage site -, unspoilt landscapes and centuries-old customs. The Telegraph also referred to the many wineries near the centre of the island, where local traditions remain stronger than ever.
“Even if you have been to the island several times, there is always more to discover,” writes The Telegraph.
We have to say, we thoroughly agree with The Telegraph’s accolade of Mallorca.
With year-round sunny weather, friendly locals, stunning scenery and plenty to do and see, the quality of life on the largest of the Balearic Islands is second to none.
With 554 kilometres of coastline comprising of 179 beaches, which are regarded as among the finest in the world, enjoying relaxing days on the beach while soaking up the sun is part of Mallorca’s heritage.
Being a protected landscape, particularly on the West Coast, Mallorca’s construction is carefully controlled. Consequently, the island’s beautiful landscape of scented pine forests, jagged mountains, flourishing meadows, and vast olive plantations, has not been replaced by vulgar buildings.
The island is also a hub for anyone who loves to get outdoors and explore. With 400 kilometres of walking trails and 176 kilometres of signed cycling routes, Mallorca is an ideal place for walkers, cyclists and runners to pack their trainers and head to.
