Sierravista: A stunning rural retreat in the heart of the Alpujarras

We are delighted to have added the beautiful Sierravista to our portfolio of villas in Andalucía. This stunning country home is nestled in the heart of the Alpujarras and like most properties in the area, boasts fabulous panoramic mountain views, hence the meaning of its name – ‘Mountain View’.

Sierravista

With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, Sierravista sleeps nine guests in comfort.  The house’s whitewashed walls contrast vividly with the cobalt sky above and the rolling emerald countryside that surrounds this beautiful rural retreat.

Sierravista’s interior is brimming with character and charm. Chunky wooden beams overhead, cool terracotta tiles underfoot, attractive ceramics and intricately-carved wooden units add to the appeal of Sierravista’s delightful interior.

A large open-plan kitchen with all the mod-cons enables guests to spread out and cook and dine with convenience. One particularly appealing feature of Sierravista’s interior is its snug little seating area, where guests can cosy-up and even light a fire in those out of high season visits.

Each of the bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, offer their own character and style and all have air-conditioning, which is definitely welcoming during the summer months. The ground floor bedroom has a door that leads onto a quaint tiled courtyard with a pretty fountain feature in the middle.

In fact the whole of Sierravista’s exterior is as delightful as its interior, boasting three and a half acres of extensive lawns, terraced gardens and pretty orchids and woodland to get lost in. A herb garden comprising of a diverse selection of herbs enables guests to flavour their meals with some truly delicious and natural Andalusian flavours.

Though the biggest highlight of these extensive grounds has to be Sierravista‘s large, irregular-shaped private swimming pool.

If you can manage to drag yourself from this fabulous country retreat, you’ll find plenty of nearby delights on offer to ensure your Spanish holiday itinerary is fun, varied and memorable.

Just 2.3 kilometres from the house is Orgiva, a lively town with some quality restaurants and a good selection of shops to pick up all your holiday essentials.

Exploring the wonder of Alpujarras is quite simply a must if you stay at Sierravista. With pretty pathways meandering through the valleys, mountain faces, forests and fields, exploring this mesmerising part of Andalucia can be done on foot, by bike or even by horseback.
