S’Olivar – a new luxury villa in South East Mallorca

Vintage Travel has to admit S’Olivar is a peach of a house, surrounded by gorgeous countryside with mesmerising views in all directions. We also have to admit we are delighted to have just added S’Oliver to our Mallorca program and the fact we have exclusivity of this sensational villa.

S'olivar

The beautifully-renovated 200-year-old stone farmhouse blends in perfectly with the landscape. It is set in a huge nine acres but one gets the impression the gardens are never-ending as olive groves and pine trees give way to the rolling hills in the distance.

This stunning house is just as beautiful inside as it is outside. Once you have parked your car in the cobbled driveway with a cute central island, you enter into the magnificent hallway complete with angled stairway and galleried landing above. Spanish tiled floors, typical of Mallorca give an immediate sense of cleanliness and authenticity. Sporadic chunky wooden beams over doorways augment the traditional Spanish feel.

S’Olivar sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. On the ground floor there are two doubles and a twin bedroom. The principle double bedroom is on the first floor with an en-suite shower room. All of the bedrooms have air-conditioning which is essential in the high summer season on an island doused in sunshine. With beamed ceilings and regional furniture these tastefully laid out rooms are Spanish to the hilt.

The lounge, interior dining area and kitchen are as equally as wonderful as the bedrooms. Light and open with many of the 200- year-old features still evident, S’Olivar’s interior is beautifully blended with many modern necessities.

Walking through the patio doors onto the pool terrace is delightful. An ample-covered terrace provides the perfect setting to soak in S’Olivar’s surroundings in the shade and, of course, to enjoy those rumbustious nights of al-fresco wining and dining a holiday on Mallorca deserves.

With its infinity wall, S’Olivar’s private swimming pool is fantastically designed. Even the pool seems to drop right into the never-ending landscape.

The nearby market town of Felanitx is a great place to visit, day and night. This traditional town boasts many great places of historical and cultural interest, including the hilltop-perched sanctuary Sant Salvador and Castle Santueri. As you can imagine, the views from these old buildings are astounding.

The coastline in South East Mallorca has got some great beaches and an easy drive will put you in the thick of Mallorca’s coastal action.

S’Olivar has got plenty going for it. It is a great holiday house in a supreme setting and is conveniently located for great days and nights out.
