The stunning villa of Le Pastre: Quintessential Provence
Vintage Travel is delighted to announce a stunning addition to our portfolio of houses in Provence – Le Pastre. This stylish 3 bedroom, two bathroom villa lies on the edge of the pretty little village of Montfuron in the heart of the wonderfully picturesque Luberon Valley.
Le Pastre’s exterior walls are a delightful shade of pale yellow adorned with pale blue shutters, which fits in impeccably with its surroundings – the perfect combination of rolling green countryside and a deep blue sky.
Le Pastre’s interior boasts a traditional elegant yet sparse style Provincial homes are renowned for. Comprising of beautifully tiled floors throughout, the villa is cool both to look at and cool underfoot. Some grand French doors separate the spacious living room from a covered dining terrace, which is blessed with views that could be surpassed by little where else.
On the first floor two double bedrooms enjoy the same stunning views that seem to go on for eternity across the surrounding hillsides and valleys. A cosy room snuggled in the villa’s eaves is the perfect place for children to get a great night’s sleep after a refreshing day in the clean air of Provence.
A short stroll down a quirky little path which is accessed through a gate at the end of Le Pastre’s garden, will take you to the quaint and characterful village of Montfuron.
This small village has everything you’ll need to a quintessential Provincial holiday, including a quality restaurant that is well-renowned within the area. After a great meal at the Monturon restaurant you could enjoy playing – or watching the locals play – a game of boules, as the village even has its own boules pitch.
Slightly further afield at Manosque, you’ll find a bigger selection of shops and bars. Locally-produced delights, including wine and pastis are there for the taking in the town of Fourcalquier, 21 kilometres from the Le Pastre.
