Three of the best golf courses on the Costa Brava
Spain ranks sixth in the world in golf tourism, according to new data released by “Voyage Prive”, a private travel club that analysed golf tourism throughout the world. The analysis was based on how many golf courses a country has, of which Spain has a total of 590 – 25 on the Balearic Islands – accounting for 35 percent of the total of European golf tourism.
Voyage Prive’s Director General, Sebastien Bouillet, said that golf in Spain was especially popular among the British, Swedish, French and Germans. Bouillet went on to say that part of the success of golf tourism in Spain is because of the increasingly great quality facilities available to golfers, set within warm and picturesque environments.
