Vintage Travel adds Ca’n Gato Vives to its luxury villas in Mallorca
From jagged cliffs menacingly plummeting towards the ocean, to secluded coves providing peace and serenity, to sandy family-friendly beaches offering activities to cater for everyone’s tastes and whims, surrounded by a sea that merges seamlessly with the sky above, the municipality of Pollenca in the far northern corner of Mallorca, has a little of everything.
Complimenting a stay in such scenic diversity and utopia with accommodation to rival its surroundings in the ‘beauty’ stakes should not be taken lightly, and this is where Vintage Travel can help out.
Tucked away in the tranquil and picturesque surroundings of Pollenca Town, just 5km from the sweeping and sandy beach of Pollenca Bay, is Ca’n Gato Vives. We are proud to welcome this characterful country cottage onto our portfolio of luxury villas in Mallorca, as it really is a true treasure in a cherished corner of Mallorca.
With its terracotta tiles, traditional wooden beams, distinctive lights hanging over tastefully modern furniture, this two bedroom cosy cottage maintains a hospitable ‘home from home’ atmosphere both inside and out. A rambling white rose provides some welcoming shade on the pleasant veranda, which just cries out to be wined, dined and relaxed on!
If catching some sun is an integral part of your summer holiday then Ca’n Gato Vives could be the accommodation for you, as access to the warm sunshine complemented by the sweet smelling fragrance erupting from the fertile and colourful garden, is an obvious priority of this charming country cottage.
Whilst the upstairs bedroom has access to a balcony, overlooking simply stunning views of the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains, the downstairs bedroom provides access to the garden – and what a garden it is!
Amidst the fig, apple, grenadine pine and olive trees, the bougainvillea and many exotic plants and shrubs, a private pool can be found beside an arc-shaped wall, artistically resonant of the bow of a ship – a quirky detail that adds to the character of the house but in reality disguises the pool’s machinery!
You could quite happily spend the duration of your stay here returning to the town of Pollenca, which, with its interesting boutiques, cocktail bars, abundance of top-quality restaurants, traditional Sunday market and lively town square, caters for every possible taste.
Although it is advisable to venture beyond this quintessential Mallorcan town and witness the stunning countryside of what has become known as being one of the island’s most beautiful areas.
