When is the best time to visit Lanzarote?
So when is the best time to visit and become acquainted with the beautiful island of Lanzarote? The truth is, there isn’t a bad time.
The beauty of Lanzarote – apart from its unique mountainous landscape, friendly locals and fantastic beaches – is that it boasts an almost constant year-round temperature that rarely diverges from between 21 and 29 degrees Celsius. What’s more, the island is home to little rain.
In short, if you’re after some winter sun, then Lanzarote would be a great destination. In fact, unlike virtually every other European resort, Lanzarote’s high season is between November and April, getting busy again in the ‘conventional’ European peak season of July and August.

For example, if you yearn for late nights and dancing until dawn in the island’s many great clubs and bars and spending lazy days on the beach then the high seasons of November to April and July and August are likely to quest your insatiable thirst for partying in the sun.

That said, the 6th of January (Dia del Reyes) is a great time to be present on the island with children, as three kings riding on camels make their way across Lanzarote giving sweets to every child they pass.
If however you seek a more tranquil escape, visiting inspiring historical and cultural sites and soaking in the scenery in the most pleasant of weather, the spring and the autumn are likely to be the best times to visit Lanzarote.
