Wonderful Algarve family villa – Casa da Oliveira
Situated just a couple of kilometres from the Atlantic coastline and a string of beautiful beaches but within the tranquillity of the countryside, at Casa da Oliveira you get the best of both worlds.
This classically-styled Algarve family villa is built amongst other similar houses in a fine and well-to-do residential area of Vilamar, not far from the popular coastal town of Armacao de Pera.
With four bedrooms and two bathrooms this spacious villa comfortably sleeps eight people. With private balconies off the twin and master bedrooms, access to Casa da Oliveira’s flourishing garden and the warm southern Portuguese air is just a few steps away. The two downstairs double bedrooms have access to the villa’s stunning garden terrace where early, late and afternoon drinks can be enjoyed by all.
The whole of the interior is individually-styled, with traditional tiles inlaid with decorative ceramics providing snippets of a quintessential Algarvean ‘quinta’. The focal point of the interior is certainly the sitting room, where a wonderful brick-vaulted ceiling hangs impressively high overhead.
Casa da Oliveira’s exterior is every bit as delightful and full of character. The outstanding natural feature of the beautiful and well-maintained garden is the ancient gnarled olive tree, which exudes history and character. In fact this knotted and imposing tree could easily be a companion of Tree Beard in the Lord of the Rings!
There are lots of interesting features both inside and outside of Casa da Oliveira. The various citrus and palm trees and rare plants and shrubs may well steal the show externally but they are augmented perfectly by some great man-made structures, such as the villa’s permanent gazebo, which takes on the appearance of a timber bandstand in a park. With an all-embracing barbecue area at the end of yet another terrace there is a blatant emphasis on dining outside at Casa da Oliveira. And why not, this is the Algarve after all.
The sparkling 8m x 4m swimming pool is just the ticket for some early morning exercise or simply as a cool off between bouts of sunbathing. With its essentially Algarvean tiles, the poolside terrace is in-keeping with the myriad of well-made and interesting features of this fine Portuguese property.
Asides being stylish, comfortable and quirky, Casa da Oliveira boasts a fantastic location, enjoying the tranquillity of rural life but being a stone’s throw from the coast and all its pleasures. The vibrant town of Armacao de Pera is just four kilometres away, where you you will be spoilt of choice for places to dine in the many seafood restaurants.
