WOW Property – 9 bedroom villa in Andalucia

One of the greatest components of Andalucia is that despite the popular perception as it being sun-scorched, arid and desert-like region of southern Spain, it is home to some of the most stunning and fertile natural parks in Europe. The Alcornocales National Park is one such park of lush and verdure wildlife, which certainly diverges from the scorched and arid landscape Andalucia is renowned for.

La Hoya

This extensive natural area is situated between the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz and makes up a total of 170,025 hectares. As its name suggests, the Alcornocales National Park is home to the largest and most well-conserved cork oak forests in Spain and one of the most important in the world.

In the foothills of the rolling wooded countryside of the Alcornocales National Park  lies another Andalucian treasure – La Hoya. This nine bedroom country estate is set on 150 hectares of land. When it comes to propertyies with the wow factor, La Hoya is rivalled by little. Naturally Vintage Travel is delighted to welcome La Hoya as the newest addition to our Andalucia property portfolio.

A long and winding bucolic track twists and turns through the woodland and fields before it arrives at La Hoya’s entrance. Pretty stone walls, shrubs and a gently sloping garden greet the visitor who knows instinctively they have arrived somewhere special. This initial feeling gets increasingly confirmed as you meander through La Hoya’s many rooms, all of which are done up to an incredibly high standard. The terracotta tiles are married impeccably with the soft furnishings and fittings and natural tones  which fill this comfortable, homely and exquisite Spanish villa. A roomy kitchen done up in a stylish white epitomises the modern yet traditional ambience La Hoya exudes.

With nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms, guests can spread out and have their own privacy in this extensive hillside villa.

The large patio doors in the living room offer snippets of the property’s exterior which is just as inspiring as its interior, if not more. The views from La Hoya really are a sight to behold, casting the eye over smart, well-kept lawns, towards the azure waters of a lake, cradled by a dense forest and across to the outskirts of the hilltop town of Vejer de la Frontera.

The blue water of La Hoya’s infinity-edge pool matches the lake which it looks down on, providing the most idyllic spot that anyone could care to take a dip in. Flake out on the smart lawns that surround the pool and dry off under the strong Andalucian sun.

With a lake and a pool at your disposal, you might find you have all the water you need to cater for a holiday in southern Spain. Though the beauty of La Hoya is that it might be hidden in such intense rural utopia but it is not far from the vibrant and pretty coastline of the Costa de la Luz. A 30 minute drive will take you to the hilltop town of Vejer de la Frontera, which is just about visible from La Hoya. Ten minutes further you’ll arrive at golden sandy beaches, perfect for a family day out.
